Susan Greening Day - Beginning Hardanger
***Note-Choose only one project: Tone-on-Tone or Greenway.

Day 1: Introduction to supplies and different traits of different types of needles, threads, fabrics, scissors, tweezers, and wax. How to work with perle cotton: Kloster block duties, working following pattern, beautiful satins, starting and stopping threads. Correct cutting - diagrams for learning steps. Correct weaving and wraps. Construction of Pin Keep.

Day 2: Hardanger history. Everyone will learn to follow a kloster block pattern plus a filling stitch. Construction of scissor holder.

Day 3: Butterfly Motif Needle Booklet. New filling stitches will be taught, plus the construction of the needle book.
Terri Bay - Advanced Hardanger

Whiteout is level 5 of the Snow Hardanger Series and is a multi-day, advanced-level class full of texture. It is a 7-inch square design worked on 28 count linen with pearl cotton and packed with many different stitches and techniques.

Stitches included are satin, Klosters, blanket, double cable, pulled cable, eyelets, needle weaving, lacy edge, woven and wrapped bars, and Greek cross.

NOTE: To focus on the small details in class, the big picture will be worked at home before class. The pre-work includes satin stitch and blanket stitch, taking approximately 20-30 hours to complete.
